Where is everyone moving?

This is why you come to ChangingStreets.com to get the real story. It is kind of obvious people are leaving Flint and Genesee County. But where are they going? We know, it is our job.
I called the King of Useless Information, Buddy Kane. I asked “Buddy, Flint seems to be moving on up. Where is that burn on the grill in the eyes of ex-Flintoids”. Then Buddy dropped some knowledge,he knows where your neighbors moved. Buddy is still figuring out what happened in 2009, but this is what he knew for 2008:
1. Maricopa County, AZ aka Greater Phoenix 291 people
2. Gwinnett, DeKalb, Fulton, Cobb Counties GA…the ATL..225 people
3. Cook County, Il…The Windy City…if I am packing, I am heading for sun! 161 people
4. Clark County, NV Viva Las Vegas! 136 people
5. Harris County, TX “Howdy Yall, I’m From Houston!” 109 people
6. Mecklenburg County, NC, home of the new Nascar Hall of Fame, Charlotte 88 people…that is JRs’ #! “I like the bearded JR best. I like to picture my JR with a Tuxedo T-shirt…”
7. Marion County IN…Home of Peyton Manning and Martha Weaver, Indianapolis. 78 people
8. Davidson County TN. Music City, Nashville TENNESSEE! 76 people
9. Shelby County TN. Ironically a County in Tennessee named after a Governor of Kentucky. 71 people..oh yeah this is Memphis.
9. Pasco County FL, with 71 people as well.
Florida obviously had hundreds of people after Pasco there was :
Lee County 70
Pinellas 69
Sarasota 61
Polk 56 and on and on through out Florida.
Florida gained the most Genesee Countonians, Texas, Arizona, Georgia, Tennessee were also up there.
Wyoming gained 77. Think about the billboards and how much they spent to get 77 Genesee Countonians when a county in Tennessee named after a Governor from Kentucky got 71 for free…strange.
Greatest fact from Buddy….66 people moved to San Diego CA, but 58 moved to Genesee County from San Diego for a net of 8 people. Stay Classy San Diego!
It is also interesting, the most foreclosed metro areas in the United States are Phoenix, Las Vegas, Atlanta and Florida….no matter where you go, there you are.
Also interesting in January 2008 Forbes article named Phoenix, Houston, Las Vegas and Florida Gulf coast towns all top ten places for job growth. Only one was on the 2009 list.
And NOW you know the rest of the story…lets hear where your people went!
